Christmas in Williamsburg!

Christmas is one of Williamsburg's favorite holidays! From the delicious hot cocoa and bright lights at Busch Gardens' Christmas Town to the piping hot apple cider and spectacular fireworks of Colonial Williamsburg's Grand Illumination, there are tons of things to see, do, and taste all month long!

Celebrate the spirit of the season at Busch Gardens' Christmas Town! Busch Gardens brings holiday traditions to life with heartwarming shows, delicious seasonal dining, and festive shopping opportunities. Don't forget to grab a mug of their signature hot chocolate! In 2015, Christmas Town will be brighter than ever with more than 8 MILLION lights! Santa's workshop will also be set up at the North Pole, so bring the kids on by to meet the jolly old elf himself! Get all the details right here!

In the 18th century, illuminations (including the firing of guns and lighting of fireworks) were held to celebrate major events, such as military victories or the arrival of a new colonial governor. Join Colonial Williamsburg on this special day of celebration by strolling the Revolutionary City and viewing all the unique decorations. Enjoy musical performances from multiple stages, watch the Fifes and Drums parade through town, and delight in the fireworks displays from three different locations! Don't miss the biggest holiday celebration in town at Colonial Williamsburg!

Wait, there's still more! In addition to several fun festivities all over Historic Yorktown that you can learn about here, this year is Williamsburg's 50th Annual Christmas Parade! You can even join in the fun holiday parade yourself. Learn more here. While you're in Colonial Williamsburg, visit the brand new Liberty's Ice Pavilion for fun ice skating with the family. Liberty's Ice Pavilion will be open until February 29th 2016. Find out more information here. Ice skating tickets are available for purchase at the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center and Liberty's Ice Pavilion.

Whatever you do this holiday season, the Williamsburg KOA wishes you many happy times with those closest to you.

Fall Fun in Williamsburg!

The leaves are changing, the air is cooling, ...FALL must be here!! That means it's time to get out of the house and enjoy some fall fun in Williamsburg.

What better way to enjoy October than some frighteningly good fun at Busch Gardens' Howl-o-Scream? Every weekend from now until November 1st you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the most beautiful amusement park in the world by day and by night brave the freaks and frights of seven haunted houses and five Terror-tories. This year something terrible has been unearthed. What you may ask? You'll just have to visit and find out.

This autumn marks a first for Colonial Williamsburg. This October 30th and 31st is Colonial Williamsburg's first ever Halloween Weekend. Experience the Haunting on DoG Street as Blackbeard and his crew of pirates return to Williamsburg for revenge. The trick-or treating is free or you can purchase a ticket to A Pirate's Life for Me where you'll take part in fun games, compete in a costume contest, sing sea shanties, take haunted carriage rides, and learn about being a pirate in the 18th century. Trick-or-treating and Pirate's Life activities run from 5:30pm to 7pm. Buy a special glow in the dark wristband and stick around from 8pm-10pm for Under Blackbeard's Flag (ages 13+) as Blackbeard and his undead crew take over. Explore the legend of Blackbeard's missing head, step into the courtroom where Blackbeard's crew was condemned, and learn all about the myths and superstitions of the Seven Seas. Be sure to register for trick-or-treating and purchase your tickets online at the Colonial Williamsburg Website. Availability is limited and some events are already sold out so don't wait.

Williamsburg KOA's beautiful forested campground is the perfect base camp for your fall vacation, whether it's for a weekend or a couple weeks. Enjoy time with the family and witness the fall colors while sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows, and relaxing. Take part in our Halloween Fun Weekends with trick-or-treating, movie nights, and special guests every weekend in October.
